Lyto’s integrated sprinkler fire‑fighting system — and why it works so well.

A sprinkler system is an active fire‑protection solution: it autonomously detects temperature increases and intervenes selectively, activating only the heads closest to the heat source. Water is delivered exactly where it’s needed, containing the fire from the very first moments and minimizing damage to stored goods.

In automated warehouses — where heights are significant and human presence is essentially zero — this level of precision isn’t a detail; it’s a critical technical requirement.

Until 2020, fire‑fighting design for Lyto’s warehouses was outsourced to external suppliers. This often led to incompatibilities with the structure, design changes during construction, and less predictable installation times. To overcome these limitations and ensure a more efficient process, Lyto’s decided to fully internalize fire‑fighting design.

Today, structure and fire‑fighting systems are developed in parallel from day one. This integrated approach eliminates interference, ensures regulatory consistency, and drastically reduces work at height — increasing safety and speeding up installation.

The result for the Client is tangible: a more harmonized system, faster timelines, a single point of contact, and a higher level of reliability throughout the entire process.

In this Top 5, we’ve collected some of the most significant warehouses designed with integrated sprinkler systems — examples of how integration transforms safety into operational value.
