Innovation and sustainability at the service of cold‑chain logistics.
Lyto’s plays a leading role in the development of the new cold hub in Ferentino (FR), the largest and most innovative automated logistics warehouse in central and southern Italy.
The Dutch multinational NewCold, global leader in frozen food logistics, manages a network of more than 25 cold‑storage warehouses across 4 continents. After the success of the first self‑supporting automated warehouse inaugurated in 2022 in Fiorenzuola d’Arda (Piacenza), NewCold has once again chosen Lyto’s to bring to life the new cold hub of central and southern Italy.
With over 60 years of experience, Lyto’s brings precision, reliability, and innovation to every project. The new Ferentino hub is proof of it: an imposing structure, 41 meters high, capable of hosting 60,000 pallets, directly connected to the Froneri plant through a dedicated tunnel that will deliver significant environmental benefits and reduce transport‑related pollution.
But it is not just a matter of size. This satellite self‑supporting automated warehouse is a true concentration of technology and sustainability: designed to operate at –28°C, it consumes 50% less energy than traditional warehouses thanks to the use of renewable sources.
