Lyto’s and Imballi: a bridge between tradition and innovation
30/01/2026Refresco Group, the world’s largest independent bottler, once again chooses Lyto’s for the design, production, and installation of its self-supporting automated warehouses.
Refresco Group was founded in 1999 in Germany. Originally called Menken Beverages, the company was established through a management buyout (MBO) between Menken Drinks and Refresco De Sur Europa S.A.
With a history marked by a steady growth into new countries, Refresco entered Italy in 2011 by taking over Spumador, adding it to its long list of acquisitions.
In 2024, Refresco has decided to work with Lyto’s for the design, production, and installation of its automated warehouse located in Sulmona (AQ).
L’Aquila, a city known in Italy and worldwide for the devastating earthquake that happened 16 years ago, lies in one of the most seismic areas of the peninsula; it is here that the self-supporting warehouse will be built.
This challenge does not hinder Lyto’s; on the contrary, it highlights the strengths that distinguish the company in the market.
Beyond the construction of the structure itself, Refresco chose Lyto’s winning proposal for full integration: design and installation of the external cladding with panels and waterproof layer, as well as the sprinkler system with smoke detection.
The construction of the self-supporting automated warehouse - 29 meters high and with a capacity of 25,000 pallets - advanced at a record pace, being completed in just 5 months.
The same integrated formula enabled Lyto’s to secure the contract for the recently completed self-supporting automated warehouse in Seville. Rising in the Iberian city, it towers over it with its impressive height of 40 meters and capacity of over 40,000 pallet spaces.
Shaping the future together… the Lyto’s–Refresco partnership grows stronger!
